Baruch, 3

23. The Agarenes that seek wisdom upon earth, the merchants of Meran and of Theman, the authors of fables, and searchers out of understanding; none of these have known the way of wisdom, or remember her paths.

Nehemiah 9:33: "However, you are just in everything that has happened to us, for you acted with faithfulness, but we sin." This verse recognizes God's righteousness to allow the people to suffer the consequences of their sins, but also highlights God's faithfulness to fulfill their promises.
