2 Chronicles, 36

8. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

Ezra 1:1-2: "In the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, that the word of the Lord said through the mouth of Jeremiah, the Lord inspired Cyrus, king of Persia, to do this proclamation in writing in all His kingdom, 'Thus Speaks Cyrus, King of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, gave me all the kingdoms of the earth and in charge of building a temple to him in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. ​​" This verse brings the hope of restoration and reconstruction of the temple of Jerusalem after exile in Babylon, fulfilling Jeremiah's prophecies and showing God's faithfulness to fulfill His promises.
