Zechariah 1 begins with a message from the Lord to the prophet Zechariah to call the people back to repentance and obedience to God's law. " This verse shows how Zechariah's message about the need for repentance and obedience is in harmony with the prophecies of other prophets, such as Jeremiah, who predicted the exile and punishment of Judah and Babylon.
Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans of peace and not evil, to give them a future and hope." This verse shows how Zechariah's message about the restoration and renewal of God's people is in harmony with his promise that he has plans of peace and a future and hope for his people.
