Leviticus, 18

17. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy wife and her daughter. Thou shalt not take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter, to discover her shame: because they are her flesh, and such copulation is incest.

Leviticus 18 deals with sexual prohibitions in God's law for the people of Israel. The verses selected below deal with different aspects of prohibited sexual relationships and their consequences:

Deuteronomy 27:20: "Damn one who lie with his father's wife, for he profaped his father's bed." This verse condemns sexual intercourse with the father's wife, one of the prohibitions mentioned in Leviticus 18:8.
