Ezekiel, 5

12. A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and shall be consumed with famine in the midst of thee: and a third part of thee shall fall by the sword round about thee: and a third part of thee will I scatter into every wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.

Lamentations 4:9: "More blessed were those who were killed in the sword than those who perished of hunger; for they fade, as if pierced, for lack of the fruits of the fields." Ezekiel 9:4: "And the Lord said unto him, He passes through the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and marks with a sign the tests of the men who sigh and moan because of all the abominations that are committed in the midst of it. " This verse shows God's concern with the righteous in Jerusalem that mourn the sins of the people.
