2 Corinthians, 1

12. For our glory is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity of heart and sincerity of God, and not in carnal wisdom, but in the grace of God, we have conversed in this world: and more abundantly towards you.

Chapter 1 of 2 Corinthians talks about God's comfort in the midst of the afflictions and tribulations that Christians face. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10: "In everything we are troubled but not distressed; perplexed but not discouraged. Persecuted but not helpless; slaughtered but not destroyed; always bringing in the body to die from Jesus, so that they may also yours life manifests itself in our body.
