Mark, 15

46. Then Joseph, having bought a fine linen cloth, and taking him down, wrapped him in the fine linen and laid him in a sepulcher, which was hewn from a rock. And he rolled a stone to the entrance of the tomb.

St. Mark 15 describes the arrest, judgment and crucifixion of Jesus. Isaiah 53:5: "But he was wounded by our transgressions, and ground for our iniquities; the punishment that brings us peace was upon him, and by his footsteps we were healed." Hebrews 12:2: "Looking at Jesus, author and consummator of faith, who for the sake of him endured the cross, despising the affront, and settled on the right hand of the throne of God." This verse encourages us to follow the example of Jesus, who endured the cross and overcame temptation so that we may have eternal life with Him in heaven.
