St. Luke 3 presents the preaching of John the Baptist and his baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. In addition, the chapter also brings the genealogy of Jesus and his public presentation in baptism by John. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in São Luke 3:
Matthew 3:2: "repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." Just as John the Baptist preached repentance for the forgiveness of sins in St. Luke 3, here Jesus also preaches the same message.
