Jeremiah, 5

6. For this reason, a lion from the forest has struck them down, a wolf toward evening has laid waste to them, a leopard lies in wait over their cities. All who go out from there will be taken. For their transgressions have been multiplied; their rebellions have been strengthened.

Jeremiah 7:5-6: "But if you have to improve your ways and your works; you are very practicing justice between man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the foreigner, neither the orphan, nor to the widow, nor spill, nor pour out Innocent blood in this place, nor walking after other gods to your own evil, then I will make you dwell in this place, on the earth that I gave to you and your parents forever. " This verse highlights the importance of social justice, compassion and exclusive worship of God.

Jeremiah 6:13-14: "For from the smallest of them to the largest, each one gives himself to greed; and from the prophet to the priest, each one practices falsehood. And heal the wound of my people lightly, saying: Peace , peace; when there is no peace. " This verse denounces the corruption of both religious leaders and the people in general.

Jeremiah 2:11: "Did you change any nation to their gods, even if they were not gods? But my people exchanged their glory for what is of no use." This verse highlights the idolatry of the people of Judah, who has abandoned the true God to worship worthless idols.
