Jeremiah, 31

15. Thus says the Lord: “A voice has been heard on high: of lamentation, mourning, and weeping; of Rachel crying for her sons and refusing to be consoled over them, because they are not.”

Jeremiah 31 is a chapter that talks about the restoration of Israel after exile. God promises to bring His people back to the land of Judah and renew their covenant with them. Isaiah 43:19: "Behold, I will do something new, now will it go to light; perhaps, do not realize? Behold, I will put a path in the desert and rivers in the wild." Just as God promises to do something new in Jeremiah 31:22, Isaiah 43:19 also talks about God doing something new to his people.

Ezekiel 36:24: "For I shall take unto you among the Gentiles, and I shall congregate you from all the lands, and bring you to your land." This verse talks about God gathering His people of all nations, as is promised in Jeremiah 31:8.
