Jeremiah, 2

35. And you have said: ‘I am innocent and without sin. And because of this, let your fury be turned away from me.’ Behold, I will contend with you in judgment, because you have said: ‘I have not sinned.’

This verse describes how Israel forgot that God was the source of all his material blessings, giving his prosperity to Baal, a false God.
