Nehemiah, 9

24. The sons went in to take possession of the land, and you humbled before them the Canaanite inhabitants of the land and delivered them over into their power, their kings as well as the peoples of the land, to do with them as they would.

Verses related to Nehemiah, 9:

Nehemiah 9 is a chapter in which the Levites say a prayer of confession for the sins of Israel and reaffirm the covenant with God. The verses related to the topics addressed in this chapter are:

Deuteronomy 32:3-4: "For I will appeal to the name of the Lord; Give glory to our God. He is the rock, whose work is perfect, because all his righteous ways are. God is faithful, who has no iniquity; straight is him. " In this verse, Moses exalts God's faithfulness and righteousness, themes that are reinforced in the prayer of the Levites in Nehemiah 9.

Psalm 106:6: "Let us sin like our parents; we commit iniquity, we practice wickedness." This psalm portrays the story of Israel and its sins against God, a theme that is remembered in the prayer of confession of the Levites in Nehemiah 9.

Isaiah 53:6: "All of us, as sheep we divert; each one turned to his own way; and the Lord has dropped upon him the iniquity of us all." Daniel 9:4: "And I prayed to the Lord, my God, and confessed, and said, Ah! Lord! Great and tremendous God, who keeps the covenant and mercy toward those who love you and keep your commandments." This verse portrays Daniel's confession through Israel's sins and his appeal to God's mercy, themes that are also addressed in the prayer of the Levites in Nehemiah 9.
