1 Samuel, 5

6. Now the LORD dealt severely with the people of Ashdod. He ravaged and afflicted the city and its vicinity with hemorrhoids; he brought upon the city a great and deadly plague of mice that swarmed in their ships and overran their fields.

1 Corinthians 10:20-22: "No, but what the pagans sacrifice is offered to demons, not God, and I do not want you to have communion with demons. You cannot drink from the chalice of the Lord and the chalice of demons. cannot participate in the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Or will we cause jealousy in the Lord? We are stronger than Him? " This verse emphasizes the importance of not mixing worship with God with pagan practices or worship with idols.
