Jeremiah, 48

8. The destroyer shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape; the valley shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD has spoken.

Jeremiah 48 describes the imminent destruction of Moab by the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, because of his arrogance and wickedness against God. The verses selected below describe the divine judgment on Moab, the lamentation of their people, and God's sovereignty over all nations.
