Genesis, 17

12. He that is eight days old among you shall be circumcised; every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house, or bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring,

Galatians 3:29: "If you are from Christ, you are the descent of Abraham and heirs according to the promise." This verse highlights the importance of Abraham's spiritual descent, which is mentioned in Genesis 17 when God promises Abraham who will be the father of many nations.
