2 Corinthians, 2

3. And I wrote as I did, so that when I came I might not suffer pain from those who should have made me rejoice, for I felt sure of all of you, that my joy would be the joy of you all.

2 Corinthians 2 deals with forgiveness and reconciliation between church members. The apostle Paul encourages Corinthians to forgive and restore a brother who had been previously disciplined. Romans 12:18: "If possible, how much it depends on you, tend peace with all men." Paul emphasizes the importance of peace and unity among brothers, something that is approached in 2 Corinthians 2.
