Jeremiah, 49

3. Wail, Heshbon, for Ar has been laid waste! Shriek, daughters of Rabbah! Wrap yourself in sackcloth, raise the dirge, run to and fro among the sheep-pens! For Milcom is going into exile, with all his priests and princes.

Obadiah 1:8: "Not that day, says the Lord, I will destroy the sages of Edom and the understanding of the mountain of Esau." This verse talks about the destruction that will come about Edom, another nation mentioned in Jeremiah 49.

Isaiah 16:6: "We have heard of Moab's arrogance, unbearable arrogance, his arrogance, pride and revolt; but his fanfaronice is nothing." This verse talks about the arrogance of Moab, one of the nations that will receive the punishment of God in Jeremiah 49.

Ezekiel 35:5: "Because you showed an eternal enmity and handed over the Israelites to the wire of the sword in the time of the final calamity, at the time of your final iniquity." This verse talks about the hostility that Edom showed to Israel, which will lead the nation to receive God's wrath in Jeremiah 49.
