In Acts of Apostles 9, Saul de Tarsus's conversion is narrated, which would become the apostle Paul. Philippians 3:7-8: "But what was profit for me, this I considered loss because of Christ. Yes, in fact, I consider everything as loss, because of the sublimity of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord; for the love of Which I lost all things and I consider them as I refuse, to win Christ. " Saul's story clearly shows how he abandoned his privileged position in Jewish society and considered everything as a loss because of Christ.
Colossians 1:24: "Now I rejoice in the midst of my sufferings for you and I fulfill in my flesh what remains of the afflictions of Christ, because of his body, which is the Church." Paul was an apostle who suffered a lot in his life, but never failed to rejoice in the Lord and to devote himself to the spread of the Gospel.
