2 Samuel, 15

2. He would get up early and stand beside the road leading to the city gate; and whenever a man with some lawsuit had to come before the king's tribunal, Absalom would call out to him and ask, 'Which town are you from?' If he answered, 'Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel.'

Verses related to 2 Samuel, 15:

2 Samuel 15 talks about Absalom's conspiracy to become king instead of David. He deceives the people, gets followers, and conquers the hearts of many Israelites. David, when he becomes aware of the conspiracy, runs away from Jerusalem with his family and followers. Following are five verses related to the topics addressed in 2 Samuel 15:

Psalm 3:1-2: "O Lord, as my adversaries have multiplied! There are many who rise against me. Many say from my soul: There is no salvation to Him in God." This Psalm, written by David, expresses his anguish before the conspiracy of Absalom and the threat he represents to his reign.

Psalm 41:9: "Even my intimate friend, whom I trusted, who ate from my bread, raised his heel against me." David regrets the betrayal of Aitofel, one of his counselors, who moved to Absalom's side and conspired against him.

Psalm 55:12-14: "Because it was not an enemy that broke me; then I would have endured it; it was not what I hated me that I was amusing against me, because I would have hidden me; Guide and my inner friend. We consulting together gently, and walked in the house of God as companions. " David refers to Aitofel, his former advisor and friend, who joined Absalom's conspiracy and betrayed his confidence.

Psalm 59:1-3: "Deliver me, my God, from my enemies; defend me from those who get up against me. Deliver me from those who practice iniquity, and save me from bloodthirsty men. For they put it Cilated to my soul; the strong are gathered against me, not by my transgression or by my sin, O Lord. " David calls for God for protection in the face of the threat represented by Absalom and his followers.

Psalm 63:1: "O God, you are my God; I will soon seek you; my soul is thirsty for you; my flesh desires you a lot in a tired dry land where there is no water." This psalm expresses David's devotion to God, even in the face of the difficulties faced in Absalom's escape.
