Song of Solomon, 3

10. He made the pillars thereof [of] silver, the bottom thereof [of] gold, the covering of it [of] purple, the midst thereof being paved [with] love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.

Songs 3 is a chapter in which the bride is looking for the groom. She seeks tirelessly through the streets and squares of the city, but does not find him. Finally, he finds him and takes him to his house, where they spend the night together. The chosen verses are:

Proverbs 8:17: "I love those who love me; those who seek me find me." The bride's search for the groom in songs 3 is a reflection of the desire of the human heart by God. Those who seek God with all their hearts will certainly find Him.

Jeremiah 29:13: "You will seek me and find me when you look for me with all your heart." God promises to be present for those who seek him, and the bride's pursuit of the groom in songs 3 is a powerful image of this search.

Matthew 7:7: "Ask, and shall be given to them; seek, and will find it; beat, and the door will open them." Jesus promises that those who seek to find. The bride's search for the groom in songs 3 is an image of this type of search.

Psalm 42:1-2: "As the doe longs for current waters, my soul longs for you, O God. My soul is thirsty for God, of the living God." The bride's search for the groom in songs 3 is an image of the yearning of the human heart by God.

Proverbs 18:22: "Whoever finds a wife finds something excellent; received a blessing from the Lord." The relationship between the bride and the groom in songs 3 is a reflection of the love and intimacy that God wants to have with his people. He blesses them with the joy and happiness that come with an intimate and loving relationship.
