Judges, 20

18. And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah [shall go up] first.

Judges chapter 20 deals with the conflict between the tribes of Israel and the tribe of Benjamin, who had protected a group of men who committed a terrible crime against a woman. Psalm 27:1: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom will I be afraid of? Is the Lord the strength of my life; whose I will fear me?" This psalm talks about trust in God in times of fear and uncertainty.

Proverbs 16:18: "Superb precedes ruin, and the haughtiness of the Spirit precedes the fall." This verse warns of the dangers of arrogance and pride.

Isaiah 1:18: "Come then, and argue me, says the Lord, Though your sins are like the scarlet, they will become white like snow; even if they are red as the Carmesim, they will become as the white wool. " This verse talks about the forgiveness God offers to sinners who repent and turn to Him.
