Job, 38

20. That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths [to] the house thereof?

In Job chapter 38, God responds to Job in the middle of a storm, questioning him about who He is to question divine wisdom and the purpose of creation. God talks about the power of nature, the establishment of the borders of the sea and the origin of lightning, among other themes. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in Job 38:

Psalm 104:5-6: "You have established the earth on its foundations; it will never be shaken. You covered it with the abyss, as with a cloak; the waters surrounded the mountains." This verse talks about how God established the earth in his position and covered it with waters.

Proverbs 8:29: "When he fixed the clouds on top and made the springs of the sea waters get here," This verse describes how God created the clouds and established the boundaries of the sea.

Job 38:8: "Or who ended the sea with doors when he, erupting from the breast, came out to light," this verse is directly related to the theme of the borders of the sea mentioned by God in Job 38.
