Isaiah, 48

Isaiah 48 is a chapter that talks about the rebellion of the people of Israel and God's faithfulness to fulfill their promises, even when the people do not deserve. God draws the people to attention for their infidelity and warns that the judgment is close. He reminds the people that he has always guided them and is now doing something new in their lives. Jeremiah 31:33: "For this is the concert that I will firm with the house of Israel, after those days, says the LORD, I shall put my law within it, and I will write it in his heart; and I will be his God and them will be my people. Revelation 21:5: "And what was sitting on the throne said, Behold, I do all things new. And I said to me, Write; for these words are true and faithful." This verse talks about God doing something new, which is similar to the central theme of Isaiah 48, where God talks about doing something new in the lives of the people of Israel.
