Isaiah, 38

1. In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

Isaiah 38 tells the story of King Hezekiah, who badly gets sick and receives the news that he will die soon. He prays to the Lord and asks him to grant him more life. Psalm 30:5 - "For your wrath lasts only a moment, but your favor lasts a lifetime; crying may persist a night, but in the morning the joy erupts." This verse highlights the mercy and love of God, which despite the illness of Hezekiah, still favored him with more life.

Psalm 116:1-2-"I love the Lord, for he hears my voice and my supplication. For he leaned his ears into me, I will invoke him as long as I live." This verse shows the importance of prayer and trust in God. Hezekiah trusted God and prayed for healing, and was heard and answered by the Lord.
