Galatians, 3

19. Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Verses related to Galatians, 3:

Galatians 3 addresses the theme of justification by faith as opposed to justification by the works of the law. Paul argues that faith in Christ is the only means of being justified before God and that the law was given to show the need for this faith. The verses related to this theme are:

Romans 3:28 - "We therefore conclude that man is justified by faith, regardless of the works of the law." This verse summarizes Paul's central argument in Galatians 3 that justification comes only by faith and not by the works of the law.

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace you are saved, through faith; and it does not come from you; it is the gift of God. It does not come from the works, so that no one can glornize." This verse highlights God's grace as the source of salvation and emphasizes that faith is the means by which we receive this grace, not the works of the law.

Romans 4:3-5 - "For what does Scripture say? Abraham believed in God, and this was imputed to him as justice. Now, the one who does any work is not imputed to him the reward according to grace, but according to debt; but; , to the one who does not practice, but believes in the one who justifies the wicked, his faith is imputed to him as justice. " This verse uses Abraham's example to show that justification comes by faith and not by works, for Abraham's faith was imputed as justice.

Galatians 2:16 - "Knowing that man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, we also have believed in Jesus Christ, to be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law; No works of the law no flesh will be justified. " This verse reinforces Paul's argument in Galatians 3 that justification comes only by faith and not by the works of the law.

Philippians 3:9 - "And being found in Him, not having my righteousness that comes from the law, but that comes by faith in Christ, namely the righteousness that comes from God by faith." This verse points out that justice does not come through the works of the law, but only by faith in Christ.
