Ezekiel 25 is a chapter that contains a series of judgment prophecies against neighboring nations of Israel. The verses describe the punishment that these nations would suffer because of their bad deeds and lack of respect for God and Israel. To provide five verses related to the topics addressed in Ezekiel 25, I selected verses that talk about the divine judgment and the righteousness of God.
Isaiah 2:12: "For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be against all the superb and haughty, and against all who exalts itself, that it may be deducted." This verse talks about God's judgment against those who exalt and are superior to others. In Chapter 25 of Ezekiel, the neighboring nations of Israel are punished because of their arrogance and disrespect for God.
Job 34:12: "Certainly God does not commit injustice, nor the almighty pervert the law." This verse talks about God's righteousness and how it does not commit injustice. In Ezekiel chapter 25, the nations are punished because of their bad deeds and lack of respect for God, showing divine justice.
Psalm 94:2: "Rise up, O judge of the land; give it to the proud." In this verse, the psalmist calls for divine justice against the superb. In Ezekiel chapter 25, nations are punished because of their arrogance and disrespect for God, showing how God gives the prisons.
Proverbs 21:15: "To do justice is joy to the righteous, but astonishment for those who practice iniquity." This verse talks about the joy of justice to those who do what is right and the punishment for those who do evil. In Ezekiel chapter 25, nations are punished because of their bad deeds, showing how justice can be astonished to the wicked.
Amos 1:3: "Thus saith the Lord, For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not remove the punishment, because they have traced Gilead with iron rails." In this verse, God talks about the judgment of Damascus because of his transgressions. In Ezekiel chapter 25, the neighboring nations of Israel are punished because of their bad deeds, showing how God does not tolerate transgression and disrespect.
