Ezekiel, 16

8. Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

Ezekiel 16 is a chapter that uses a prostitute's metaphor to describe Israel's infidelity with other gods and his betrayal to God. The chapter shows that God rescued Israel out of nowhere and made it a prosperous nation, but she surrendered to idolatry and immorality. Exodus 20:3-5: "Thou shalt not have other gods before me. Thou shalt not make it to you sculpted image, nor any figure on heaven, nor under the earth, nor in the waters under the earth. of them, you will not serve them; for I, the Lord your God, I am a zealous God, who visit the iniquity of parents in their children until the third and fourth generation of those who bore me. " This verse highlights the prohibition of idolatry and the warning of God about the consequences of those who worship other gods.

Hosea 2:13: "For she says, I will go after my lovers, who give me my bread and my water, my wool and my linen, my olive oil and my drinks." This verse portrays Israel's attitude in seeking other gods and believing that they are the source of their material goods.

Isaiah 1:21: "As the faithful city was done in a prostitute! She was full of justice, righteousness dwelt in her; but now, killers." This verse uses the prostitute's metaphor to describe Israel's infidelity with other gods.

Jeremiah 3:8: "And I saw that because of all this, because I committed adultery to Rebelde Israel, I said goodbye, and gave him his divorce letter, that the happy Judah, his sister, did not fear; She herself prostituted herself.
