2 Maccabees, 13

15. And having given the watchword to them that were about him, Victory is of God; with the most valiant and choice young men he went in into the king's tent by night, and slew in the camp about four thousand men, and the chiefest of the elephants, with all that were upon him.

1 Kings 8:44: "When your people go to the war against the enemy you have been to send you, and pray to the Lord, turned to the city you have chosen and to the temple I built for your name." This verse highlights the importance of praying toward the temple of God, something Judas and his men also did during battle.
