Chapter 15 of 1 Samuel narrates God's command to completely destroy the Amalequites and all that belongs to them. The world passes, and its lust; but he who does the will of God remains forever. " This verse talks about the importance of not loving the world and its fleeting things, but doing God's will and remaining in His presence.
