1 Kings 9 tells the Lord's answer to Solomon after the completion of the construction of the temple and the palace. 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, which is called by my name, humble themselves, pray and pursue my face and move away from their evil ways, from heaven I will hear him, forgive his sin and heal his earth .
