Genesis, 28

2. But go, and take a journey to Mesopotamia of Syria, to the house of Bathuel thy mother's father, and take thee a wife thence of the daughters of Laban thy uncle.

This verse is a reference to Jacob's dream, where he saw a staircase that stretched from heaven to earth and the angels rising and down. He reminds us that Jesus is the ladder that leads us to heaven and that He is the connection between God and humanity.
