Ezekiel, 11

1. And the spirit lifted me up, and brought me into the east gate of the house of the Lord, which looketh towards the rising of the sun: and behold in the entry of the gate five and twenty men: and I saw in the midst of them Jezonias the son of Azur, and Pheltias the son of Banaias, princes of the people.

Verses related to Ezekiel, 11:

Ezekiel 11 is a chapter that deals with the divine punishment that would come about the leaders of Israel because of their corruption and infidelity. The prophet receives a vision where he is taken to the entrance of the temple in Jerusalem and sees the leaders by conspiring against the people. God then announces that he will punish them with the destruction of the city and exile of the people. Following are five verses related to the topics covered in Ezekiel 11:

Isaiah 1:23: "Your princes are rebellious and companions of thieves; each one of them loves the bribe and runs after the rewards. They do not defend the rights of the orphan, nor do they care about the cause of the widow." This verse talks about the corruption of the leaders of Israel, a theme that is central to Ezekiel 11.

Jeremiah 21:10: "Because I decided to bring misfortune against this city, not happiness," says the Lord. "It will be delivered to the hands of the king of Babylon, who will set it on fire." This verse talks about the divine punishment that would come about Jerusalem, central theme in Ezekiel 11.

Jeremiah 25:9: "I will make them drink the chalice of my punishment until drunk, until dead before you fall." This verse talks about the divine punishment that God would bring about the people of Judah, including exile that is mentioned in Ezekiel 11.

Psalm 94:20-21: "Would the throne of iniquity be allied with you, who forges oppression as a law? They join the lives of the righteous and condemn innocent blood." This verse talks about the conspiracy of the leaders of Israel mentioned in Ezekiel 11.

Jeremiah 18:7-10: "If I at any time I announce that a nation or a kingdom will be torn, overthrown and destroyed, and if this nation I announced repent of the wickedness I practiced, I will regret the evil that I had planned against she." This verse talks about the possibility of repentance and forgiveness, a theme that is mentioned in Ezekiel 11 when God promises to gather his people again after exile.
