2 Samuel 12 Reports the confrontation of the prophet Nathan with King David, after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba and ordered to kill Uriah, his husband. Nathan scolds David for his conduct and confronts him with the parable of the rich man who stole the sheep of the poor man. David recognizes his sin and repents. Proverbs 28:13: "Which covers your transgressions will never prosper; but what confesses them and will leave mercy." This verse talks about the importance of confessing sins for forgiveness and mercy.

Proverbs 6:32-33: "What adulterates with a woman is a lack of understanding; destroys his soul what he does. He finds whip and affront what does such a thing; and his shame will never go out." This verse highlights the gravity of adultery and the destructive consequence it brings to the soul of the person.
