Chapter 13 of 1 Kings narrates the story of a prophet who is sent by God to rebuke King Jeroboam for his idolatry. The prophet performs a miracle before the king, but is deceived by an elderly man who is passed by a prophet and convinces him to disobey God's instructions. This verse warns that there are still people who are going through spiritual leaders, but in fact they are preaching misleading messages that can take people away from God.
Psalm 119:105: "Lamp for my feet is your word, and light to my way." This verse highlights the importance of God's Word as a guide to the Christian life. The Prophet in 1 Kings 13 would have avoided death if he had faithfully followed God's instructions.
Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding; recognize the Lord in all your ways, and He will straighten your paths." This verse encourages Christians to trust God instead of trusting themselves or in other people's opinions.
