Psalm 40:6-8: "Sacrifice and offering did not want; my ears have opened; holocaust and atonement for sin did not demand. Then I said, Here I am; in the roll of the book is written about me. " This psalm highlights Jesus' obedience to offer his life as a sacrifice rather than following the ritual of the sacrifices offered by the priests.
Leviticus 16:34: "This will be for you a perpetual statute, to do atonement for the children of Israel of all their sins once a year." This verse highlights the limitation of the annual ritual of atonement for the sins of the people, in contrast to the sacrifice of Jesus that was offered once and for all to purify the sins of humanity.
Isaiah 52:13-15: "Behold, my servant will proceed with prudence; it will be exalted, it will be high, it will be very sublime. " This verse highlights God's promise to write his law in the heart of humanity, which is only possible through the sacrifice of Jesus.
