5. Therefore, those who were in charge of the house, and the prefects of the city, and those greater by birth, and those who raised the sons, sent to Jehu, saying: “We are your servants. Whatever you will order, we will do. But we will not appoint a king for ourselves. Do whatever pleases you.”
Chapter 10 of 2 Kings narrates Jehu's revenge against the descent of Ahab and Jezebel, including the execution of the seventy children of Ahab and the killing of the worshipers of Baal in Israel. Ezekiel 18:30: "Therefore, I will judge you to each one according to your ways, O house of Israel, say the Lord God. perdition.
