2 Chronicles, 7

6. Then the priests and the Levites were standing in their offices, with the instruments of music for the Lord, which king David made in order to praise the Lord: “For his mercy is eternal.” And they were playing the hymns of David with their hands. And the priests were sounding out with trumpets before them, and all of Israel was standing.

2 Chronicles 7 tells the conclusion of the construction of Solomon's temple and his dedication to God. 2 Chronicles 6:40: "Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your listeners attentive to the prayer that I do to you in this place." This verse refers to Solomon's prayer asking God to hear the prayers made in the temple. It is a memory of the importance of prayer in a place consecrated to God.

1 Kings 8:11: "The priests could not continue to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord." This verse describes the glory of God who filled the temple after its conclusion, showing the importance of God's presence in that place.

Psalm 122:1: "I rejoiced when they said, 'Let's go to the house of the Lord.'" This verse highlights the joy of going to the temple and worshiping the Lord in community.

2 Chronicles 7:3: "When all the children of Israel saw the fire come down and the glory of the Lord over the temple, they knelt with their face on the ground on the floor, they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, 'He is good !
