1 Kings, 3

4. And so, he went away to Gibeon, so that he might immolate there; for that was the greatest high place. Solomon offered upon that altar, at Gibeon, one thousand victims as holocausts.

Proverbs 2:6: "For the Lord gives wisdom, and knowledge comes from his mouth and understanding." This verse points out that wisdom comes from God, which is exactly what Solomon asks in 1 Kings 3.

Proverbs 3:13: "Blessed man who finds wisdom, and the man who acquires knowledge." This verse shows the importance of wisdom, which Solomon seeks in 1 kings 3.

Ecclesiastes 1:16-18: "I said with my heart, saying, I am rich, and I became much more than all who before me went to Jerusalem; and also persever with me my heart in the knowledge of wisdom with me and of knowledge. And I applied my heart to know wisdom and to know the divestments and follies; and I came to know that it was also affliction of spirit. Proverbs 16:16: "The better it is to acquire wisdom than gold! And the more excellent, acquire prudence than silver!" This verse points out that wisdom is more valuable than material riches, a lesson that Solomon learns in 1 kings 3.
