Jeremiah, 51

59. This was the errand given by the prophet Jeremiah to Seraiah, son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, when he went to Babylon for the king in the fourth year of the reign of Zedekiah; Seraiah was chief quartermaster.

Isaiah 44:27: "I am the one who says about Cyrus, 'He is my pastor and will accomplish all that pleases me; He will say of Jerusalem," Be rebuilt, "and of the temple:" His foundations be released. This verse speaks of divine justice that will be done with Babylon because of its cruelty and oppression to God's people.

Isaiah 13:19: "Babylon, the jewel of the kingdoms, glory and pride of the Chaldeans, will be like Sodom and Gomorrah when God destroyed them." This verse speaks of the fall of Babylon, which will be punished for its arrogance and sins against God.

Jeremiah 50:46: "Listen to the cry of Babylon; the sound of great destruction comes from the land of the Chaldeans." This verse speaks of the imminent destruction of Babylon and the cry that will be heard throughout the earth.
