1 Samuel 22 narrates David's escape to Adulão, where he meets with others displeased and oppressed who join him. The chapter also highlights the betrayal of Doeg, Edomita, which informs Saul about the presence of David and his followers in Adulão, resulting in a massacre. " These verses encourage believers not to give in to greed and to trust the Lord as his helper and protector, just as David did during his Saul escape.
