1 Maccabees, 7

47. Then the Jews collected the spoils and the booty; they cut off Nicanor's head and his right arm, which he had lifted up so arrogantly. These they brought to Jerusalem and displayed there.

The seventh chapter of 1 Maccabees reports the battle between the armies of Judas Macabeus and the Antiochus King. During the fight, many Jews die and their bodies are dishonored by enemy soldiers. 2 Chronicles 13:18: "Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they trusted the God of their parents."
