Marc, 13

1. Comme il sortait du temple, un de ses disciples lui dit : " Maître, voyez quelles pierres et quelles constructions ! "

1. As he was making his way out of the temple area one of his disciples said to him, "Look, teacher, what stones and what buildings!"

2. Jésus lui répondit : " Tu vois ces grandes constructions? Il n'y sera pas laissé pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée. "

2. Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be one stone left upon another that will not be thrown down."

3. Lorsqu'il se fut assis sur la montagne des Oliviers, en face du temple, Pierre, Jacques, Jean et André l'interrogèrent à part :

3. As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple area, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

4. " Dites-nous quand ces choses arriveront, et quel sera le signe, quand toutes ces choses seront près de s'accomplir? "

4. "Tell us, when will this happen, and what sign will there be when all these things are about to come to an end?"

5. Jésus se mit à leur dire : " Prenez garde que nul ne vous induise en erreur.

5. Jesus began to say to them, "See that no one deceives you.

6. Car beaucoup viendront sous mon nom, disant : " C'est moi ! " et ils en induiront un grand nombre en erreur.

6. Many will come in my name saying, 'I am he,' and they will deceive many.

7. Quand vous entendrez parler de guerres et de bruits de guerres, n'en soyez pas troublés; car il faut que cela arrive; mais ce n'est pas encore la fin.

7. When you hear of wars and reports of wars do not be alarmed; such things must happen, but it will not yet be the end.

8. En effet on se dressera nation contre nation, royaume contre royaume; il y aura des tremblements de terre par endroits; il y aura des famines : c'est le commencement des douleurs.

8. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes from place to place and there will be famines. These are the beginnings of the labor pains.

9. Prenez garde à vous-mêmes. On vous livrera aux sanhédrins, et dans les synagogues vous serez flagellés, et vous comparaîtrez devant gouverneurs et rois, à cause de moi, en témoignage pour eux.

9. "Watch out for yourselves. They will hand you over to the courts. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will be arraigned before governors and kings because of me, as a witness before them.

10. Il faut qu'auparavant l'Evangile soit proclamé pour toutes les nations.

10. But the gospel must first be preached to all nations.

11. Et quand on vous emmènera pour vous livrer, ne vous préoccupez pas d'avance de ce que vous direz, mais dites ce qui vous sera donné à l'heure même; car ce n'est pas vous qui parlerez, mais l'Esprit-Saint.

11. When they lead you away and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say. But say whatever will be given to you at that hour. For it will not be you who are speaking but the holy Spirit.

12. Le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son enfant; les enfants s'élèveront contre leurs parents et les feront mettre à mort.

12. Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.

13. Et vous serez en haine à tous à cause de mon nom; mais celui qui persévérera jusqu'à la fin, celui-là sera sauvé.

13. You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.

14. Quand vous verrez l'abomination de la désolation debout où il ne faut pas, ? que celui qui lit comprenne ! ? alors, que ceux (qui seront) dans la Judée s'enfuient dans les montagnes;

14. "When you see the desolating abomination standing where he should not (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains,

15. que celui (qui sera) sur la terrasse ne descende pas et n'entre pas pour prendre quelque chose dans sa maison;

15. (and) a person on a housetop must not go down or enter to get anything out of his house,

16. et que celui (qui sera allé) dans les champs ne revienne pas en arrière pour prendre son manteau.

16. and a person in a field must not return to get his cloak.

17. Malheur aux femmes qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là !

17. Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days.

18. Priez pour que ces choses n'arrivent pas en hiver;

18. Pray that this does not happen in winter.

19. car ces jours-là seront une tribulation telle qu'il n'y en a point eu de pareille depuis le commencement de la création (du monde), que Dieu a créé, jusqu'à maintenant, et qu'il n'y en aura plus.

19. For those times will have tribulation such as has not been since the beginning of God's creation until now, nor ever will be.

20. Et si le Seigneur n'avait abrégé ces jours, nul vivant n'échapperait; mais à cause de ceux qu'il a élus, il a abrégé ces jours.

20. If the Lord had not shortened those days, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect whom he chose, he did shorten the days.

21. Si quelqu'un vous dit alors : " Voici le Christ ici ! Le voilà là ! " ne le croyez point.

21. If anyone says to you then, 'Look, here is the Messiah! Look, there he is!' do not believe it.

22. Car il s'élèvera de faux christs et de faux prophètes, et ils feront des miracles et des prodiges pour induire en erreur, s'il se pouvait, les élus.

22. False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead, if that were possible, the elect.

23. Pour vous, prenez garde ! Voilà que je vous ai tout prédit.

23. Be watchful! I have told it all to you beforehand.

24. Mais en ces jours-là, après cette tribulation, le soleil s'obscurcira, la lune ne donnera pas sa clarté,

24. "But in those days after that tribulation the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,

25. les astres tomberont du ciel, et les puissances qui sont dans les cieux seront ébranlées.

25. and the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

26. Alors on verra le Fils de l'homme venant dans les nuées avec grande puissance et gloire.

26. And then they will see 'the Son of Man coming in the clouds' with great power and glory,

27. Et alors il enverra ses anges et il rassemblera ses élus des quatre vents, de l'extrémité de la terre jusqu'à l'extrémité du ciel.

27. and then he will send out the angels and gather (his) elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.

28. Du figuier apprenez cette comparaison : Dès que sa ramure devient tendre et que ses feuilles poussent, vous savez que l'été est proche.

28. "Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near.

29. Ainsi, quand vous verrez ces choses arriver, sachez que (l'événement) est proche, aux portes.

30. Je vous le dis en vérité, cette génération ne passera point que toutes ces choses ne soient arrivées.

31. Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.

32. Quant à ce jour et à l'heure, nul ne le connaît, pas même les anges dans le ciel, pas même le Fils, mais le Père.

33. Prenez garde, veillez, car vous ne savez pas quand ce sera le moment.

34. (C'est) comme un homme parti en voyage, qui a laissé sa maison et a remis l'autorité à ses serviteurs, à chacun sa tâche, et qui a commandé au portier de veiller.

35. Veillez donc, car vous ne savez pas quand viendra le maître de la maison, le soir, ou à minuit, ou au chant du coq, ou le matin,

35. Watch, therefore; you do not know when the lord of the house is coming, whether in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning.

36. de peur que, revenant subitement il ne vous trouve endormis.

37. Ce que je vous dis, je le dis à tous : Veillez ! "
