Leviticus, 3

5. And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which [is] upon the wood that [is] on the fire: [it is] an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

Verse im Zusammenhang mit Leviticus, 3:

Leviticus 3 deals with the offer of peace sacrifice, which is voluntarily offered as an act of gratitude and communion with God. The chapter describes the requirements for the sacrifice of flock animals, such as sheep, goats and cattle. The selected verses are:

Leviticus 22:29-30: "When you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer you in such a way that it is acceptable. On the same day they eat it. Do not let anything left until the next morning. Sir." This verse talks about the importance of offering Thanksgiving sacrifice acceptably to God and consuming it on the same day, which is an important principle in chapter 3.

Hebrews 13:15: "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer God a sacrifice of praise, which is the result of lips that confess his name." This verse shows that although we are no longer obliged to offer animal sacrifices, we can still offer sacrifices to God, such as the sacrifice of praise.

Psalm 50:14: "Offer God in sacrifice his gratitude, fulfill his vows to the Most High," This verse reminds us that the sacrifice of peace was an act of gratitude and communion with God, and that we can offer our own sacrifices of gratitude and commitment.

Isaiah 53:5: "But he was pierced because of our transgressions, he was crushed because of our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we were healed." This verse reminds us that Jesus is the final sacrifice that brings peace between God and man.

Romans 5:1: "Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God, by our Lord Jesus Christ," This verse highlights the importance of peace with God and how it is achieved through Jesus Christ.
