Joshua, 13

31. And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [were pertaining] unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, [even] to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.

Verse im Zusammenhang mit Joshua, 13:

Joshua chapter 13 describes how God commanded Joshua to distribute the land of Canaan among the tribes of Israel. This chapter presents the list of lands that were won and should be distributed among the tribes. Below are five verses related to the topics addressed in Joshua 13.

Numbers 33:53: "And ye shall disagree the residents of the earth, and shall dwell in it; for I have given you the earth to possess it." This verse speaks of God's promise to give the land of Canaan to the Israelites to possess. This promise was fulfilled in the conquest of Canaan and the distribution of land between the tribes.

Ezekiel 47:13: "Thus saith the Lord God, This is the limit that you shall divide the earth in inheritance to the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph will have two parts." This verse speaks of the division of the land of Canaan between the twelve tribes of Israel. Joshua received the order to distribute the land according to God's instructions.

Deuteronomy 1:8: "Behold, I have given you the earth; enter and possess it, as the Lord, God of your parents, said unto you, do not fear, nor fear." This verse speaks of God's command for the Israelites to enter the land of Canaan and possess it. This order was fulfilled by Joshua and his army, and the lands were distributed between the tribes.

Numbers 34:17: "These are the names of the men who will share the earth among you, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Num." This verse speaks of Joshua's choice to lead the distribution of the land of Canaan among the tribes of Israel. Joshua was God's chosen leader for this important task.

Deuteronomy 33:21: "And of Naphtali said, Naphtali, plenty of satisfaction, and full of the blessing of the Lord; takes possession of the sea and the south." This verse speaks of God's blessing about the tribe of Naphtali. In the distribution of the land of Canaan, this tribe received a generous portion of land.
