Ezekiel, 21

19. Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose [it] at the head of the way to the city.

Verse im Zusammenhang mit Ezekiel, 21:

Ezekiel 21 is a chapter that deals with God's judgment against Jerusalem and the sword of God that will be used to execute his judgment. To provide five verses related to the topics addressed in Ezekiel 21, I selected verses that talk about God's judgment, the sword of God and the punishment of sin.

Proverbs 20:18: "Preparing plans is decisive, and all the preparation with advice." This verse talks about the importance of planning before acting. In Chapter 21 of Ezekiel, God is planning the judgment of Jerusalem, and the sword of God is being prepared to execute his judgment.

Isaiah 34:5: "For my sword has been drunk in heaven; behold, she will come down over Edom, and the people of my anathema to perform judgment." In this verse, God's sword is described as being used to execute judgment against the wicked. In Ezekiel chapter 21, God's sword is also used to execute judgment against Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 25:29: "For, behold, in the city that is called by my name I begin to do evil, and you will be unpunished? . " In this verse, God talks about the punishment of sin and how the sword will be brought about those who sin. In Ezekiel chapter 21, God's sword is used as punishment for the sin of Jerusalem.

Psalm 75:7: "But God is the judge; he lowers one, and exalts another." This verse talks about God as the sovereign judge, who has the power to exalt and lower. In Chapter 21 of Ezekiel, God is acting as the sovereign judge of Jerusalem, performing his judgment with the sword of God.

Jeremiah 23:24: "Will anyone hide in hiding places, so that I do not see him? In this verse, God talks about His omnipresence and how He sees everything. In Ezekiel chapter 21, God is observing the situation in Jerusalem and planning his action as the omnipresent and omniscient god.
