In Chapter 4 of 1 Thessalonians, Paul urges the Thessalonians to live holy and pleasantly to God, especially in relation to their sexuality and personal conduct. He also encourages them to love each other and to have hope in the return of Christ. Follow five verses that relate to the topics covered in 1 Thessalonians 4:
1 Corinthians 6:18-20: "Escape from sexual immorality. All the other sins that someone commits, out of the body commits them; but those who sin sexually sin against your own body. From the Holy Spirit who dwells in you, which has been given to you by God, and that you are not from yourselves? You were bought for a high price. Therefore, glorify God with your own body. " This verse emphasizes the importance of escaping sexual immorality and considering our body as a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit, a theme that is also addressed in 1 Thessalonians 4.
Ephesians 5:3: "Among you should not even mention sexual immorality as well as any kind of impurity and greed; for these things are not proper to the saints." This verse emphasizes the importance of living a holy and pure life, themes that are also addressed in 1 Thessalonians 4.
Romans 12:10: "Loves cordially to each other with fraternal love and honor themselves preferring to each other." This verse highlights the importance of fraternal love and mutual honor among the brothers, a theme that is also emphasized in 1 Thessalonians 4.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52: "Behold, I tell them a mystery: not all we will sleep, but we will all be transformed into an open and close eye to the sound of the last trumpet. The trumpet will sound, the dead will resurrect incorruptible, And we will be transformed. " This verse highlights the hope of Christians in the resurrection and transformation of their bodies, a theme that is also emphasized in 1 Thessalonians 4.
