1 Corinthians, 1

27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Chapter 1 of 1 Corinthians addresses the question of divine wisdom versus human wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord of all your heart and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes Him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." This verse emphasizes the importance of trust in God and the pursuit of divine wisdom rather than depending on limited human wisdom.

Jeremiah 9:23-24: "Thus saith the Lord, Do not glorie the wise in His wisdom, nor glorie the strong in His strength; do not glorie the rich in His riches. : In knowing myself and knowing that I am the Lord, that I make benefice, judgment and justice on earth; for these things I like, say the Lord. " This verse emphasizes the superiority of divine wisdom in relation to human wisdom and the importance of knowing God.

Isaiah 29:14: "Behold, I will continue to do wonderful work in the midst of this people, wonderful work and a prodigy; for the wisdom of their wise will perish, and the prudence of their prudent will hide." This verse highlights the futility of human wisdom compared to divine wisdom and God's ability to do wonderful things.

Colossians 2:8: "Be careful, so that no one prey to you through philosophies and vain subtleties, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world and not according to Christ." This verse warns against human wisdom and the danger of moving away from the truth of Christ.

James 1:5: "And if any of you are lacking wisdom, ask it to God, who gives all liberally and does not throw him into the face; and will be given to him." This verse emphasizes the importance of divine wisdom and God's promise to grant wisdom to those who ask for it.
