Wisdom of Solomon, 1

11. Keep yourselves therefore from murmuring, which profiteth nothing, and refrain your tongue from detraction, for an obscure speech shall not go for nought: and the mouth that belieth, killeth the soul.

Proverbs 3:13-18: "Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who acquires knowledge; because his merchandise is better than the silver merchandise, and his income than thin gold. Proverbs 9:10: "The fear of the Lord is the principle of wisdom, and the knowledge of the saint is prudence." This verse emphasizes once again that the fear of the Lord is the basis for true wisdom.
