Genesis, 42

34. And bring your youngest brother to me, that I may know you are not spies: and you may receive this man again, that is kept in prison: and afterwards may have leave to buy what you will.

The sale of Joseph as a slave and his subsequent rise to power in Egypt was all part of God's plan to use him to save his family from hunger. Ephesians 4:32: "Before, thirst for one to the other benign, merciful, forgiving one another, as God has forgiven you in Christ." Joseph chooses to forgive his brothers for what they did to him, showing them the same mercy that God showed him.
