Ephesians, 2

3. In which also we all conversed in time past, in the desires of our flesh, fulfilling the will of the flesh and of our thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:

Ephesians 2 talks about salvation by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. The chapter describes how, before salvation, we were dead in our sins and we were objects of the wrath of God, but now, in Christ, we are saved by grace through faith. Which was somehow contrary to us, and took it out of the midst of us, stinging it into the cross.
